Rewilding Reserve

Bring The Elephant Home is actively engaged in the Rewilding Elephants initiative alongside Elephant Reintegration Trust, a transformative effort to restore elephants to wild, protected landscapes. Our goal is to create a future where elephants can thrive in their natural habitats while coexisting harmoniously with local communities.

Currently, we are working to secure land for rewilding efforts in Eastern Cape South Africa, ensuring that elephants have safe, expansive habitats where they can roam freely and to make South Africa the first country free of captive elephants for tourism. This process involves purchasing key land parcels that will serve as critical corridors and protected spaces for rewilded elephants. To achieve this, we are actively seeking donors, conservation partners, and philanthropic investors who share our vision of creating a sustainable future for elephants.

Through habitat restoration, research-driven conservation strategies, and community engagement, we are addressing human-elephant conflict, promoting habitat connectivity, and advocating for ethical rewilding practices. Our partnerships with conservation organisations, policymakers, and local communities are essential in developing long-term solutions for elephant conservation.

In addition to securing land, we support ongoing research into elephant behaviour, ecological impact, and the long-term success of rewilding efforts. By integrating scientific data with traditional knowledge, we contribute to innovative solutions that benefit both elephants and the ecosystems they inhabit.
We invite individuals, businesses, and organisations to join us in this critical mission. Your support—whether through donations, sponsorships, or partnerships—can help us acquire the land necessary to provide elephants with the freedom they deserve.
